The GCIM Secretariat convened an informal meeting of experts in Geneva on 28 January 2005, in order to discuss some of the key determinants of international migration and agree how they should be addressed in the Commission’s Final Report. The experts were: Pascal Kerneis (European Services Forum), Richard Lewis (Vrije Universiteit Brussel and COMPAS), Rainer Munz (Hamburg Institute of International Economics) and Patrick Taran (International Labour Organisation). Various members of the GCIM Secretariat also attended.
